Questions About Logging In

  • I am an existing user. How do I login to AGF's new Login page?
    • Here are the steps:
      • Select Login
      • Enter your existing username (your email address if you are an investor/advisor)
      • Enter your existing password
      • You will be sent a verification code to your email. Check your email and enter in the verification code
      • You will then land on AGF's Terms and Conditions page which you must approve
      • You will be redirected to your secure account page

      Note: you will only be prompted to enter the Terms and Conditions the first time you login. Next time you login, you will not be prompted to sign off.
  • I am a returning user and have previously logged in and registered to AGF.com. I am receiving an error message when I enter my username and password. What should I do?
      • Confirm you entered in your email address correctly
      • Unmask your password to check that you have entered your password correctly
      • If both your username and password are correct to your recollection, select 'Back to Log-in', Select 'Need help?' and select the 'Forgot Password?' option to reset your password
  • When I login I do not want to always be asked to be sent a verification code to authenticate. What can I do?
    • When logging in and you receive the verification code, there is a flag called 'do not ask for a verification code on this device for the next 30 days.' Once selected, you will not be prompted to enter a verification code when logging in on the same device for 30 days.
  • I am receiving a message that an email has been sent to my email address. What should I do if I have not received the email?
    • First confirm that you entered an active and valid email address.

      In your email account, refresh your email, and check your Spam, Junk, or folders marked Important. It is possible that the email was received but redirected to another folder. If you have not received the email to authenticate your security, you can ask to resend the email again, or in the case of a new user, submit your new user profile again.   • I am a new user to AGF.com. How do I login to AGF's new Login page?
    • Here are steps to follow:
      • Select Login
      • On the main page, Select 'Don’t' have an account? Sign up'
      • Enter a VALID email address, a new password, Your First and Last name and select your Role (Investor or Advisor)
      • If you are an investor, select 'Register' and if you are an advisor, enter your dealer code and select 'Register'
      • You will receive an email to activate your account
      • Select the Activate button within the email
      • You will be navigated to the AGF.com main homepage
      • Select Login and you will be prompted to select a minimum of one -Multi Factor Authentication criteria to secure your account
      • Select Finish and you will be navigated to the AGF.com Registration page
  • I have forgotten my password. How can I reset it?
    • Here are the steps to follow:
      • Select Login
      • On the main login page , select 'Need help signing in?, this will prompt a menu of options
      • Select 'Forgot password'
      • Enter your username and choose a Reset option to receive the notification; SMS, Voice Call or Email. Note: SMS and Voice Call are only available if you have previously set them up as part of your Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
      • You will then receive a notification with a button to 'Reset Password'
      • Click on the button and a Password Reset page will be prompted
      • Enter your new password twice and select 'Register' This will now direct you to the main AGF page
      • Select Login located at the top of the page to access your account.
  • How do I log out from AGF.com?
    • Located at the top of the website, is the Logout option. Select this to log out.
  • What can I change in My Profile?
    • Under the My Profile option, you can change:
      • Your Name
      • Email username (Primary Password)
      • Secondary Email
      • Telephone Number
      • Change your password to login to AGF.com
      • Change the MFA for password setting
      • Add or Delete MFA to login
  • How do I edit My Profile?
    • Here are the steps to follow:
      • Go to My Book/My Account - My Profile
      • Select 'Edit Profile' and enter your current AGF.com password
      • Select 'send me the code' and this will prompt you to receive a verification message
      • Enter the verification code and select 'verify'
      • Once you have been verified, you are able to edit your profile on the 'My Profile' page
  • I would like to change my password for logging in to AGF.com. How do I do this?
    • In My Profile (Link to 'How do I edit My Profile') in the 'Change Password' menu section, enter a new password and confirm it by entering it twice. You will receive a prompt that your password has been reset.
  • I would like to change some personal information such my Name/Telephone number which I have used to register and/or my email address I use to login to AGF.com. How do I do this?
    • Here are the steps to follow:
      • In My Profile (Link to How do I edit My Profile)
      • In the 'Account Personal Information' section, select 'Edit' and this will allow you to update your name, phone number or change your primary email address you use to login to AGF.com
      • When updating your Name or phone number, select Save and the changes will be preserved
      • If you wish to update your primary email address, you will be required to authenticate your new password via email. Once verified, your primary email will be updated and the next time you log in to AGF.com you will be required to use that new email user name.
  • I want to change my Multi Factor Authentication criteria when I login to AGF.com. How do I do this?
    • You can set up 3 types of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to choose from to be prompted when you login in to AGF.com. The MFAs are to authenticate you by Email, SMS text message and/or Voice Call. A minimum of 1 MFA is required, but you can elect to subscribe to have all of them as options if you prefer.

      Here's how:In My Profile, located at the bottom right hand side of the My Profile page is the 'Extra Verification' section. You can add or remove a MFA as needed.

  • Can I customize my Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) criteria to reset my Password? Can my MFA be different than what I use to login to AGF.com?
    • AGF can send you a text or voice message with a recovery code when you want to reset your password. This feature is useful when you don't have access to your email.

      Here are the steps to follow:

      • Go to My Book/My Account - My Profile. (Link to How do I edit My Profile?)
      • On the right hand side of the screen, you can choose 'Forgot Message Text Message' or 'Forgot Message Voice Message'
      This will be customized to use this MFA whenever you need to reset your password.
  • How do I add my Dealer Rep code in order to access my secured My Book?
    • Once Logged in you will land on My Book.
      • Scroll down and select 'Add Account'
      • You will then be prompted to enter your 'Security Key' which was sent to your business address when your account was set up
      • Once entered, you will be prompted to add your account
      • Next, select 'Submit'
      • You will then have to log back in and will and will land on 'My Book'.
  • My ID is expired, what should I do to access my account?
    • In order to activate your account, you will need to call Client Services at 1-800-268-8583 or 905-214-8203. You will then be required to register again to AGF.com
  • How do I add my Account Number in order to access my secured My Account?
    • Once Logged in you will land on My Account.
      • Scroll down and select 'Add Account'
      • You will then be prompted to enter your 'Security Key' which was sent to your home address when your account was set up
      • Once entered, you will be prompted to add your account
      • Next, select 'Submit' You will then have to log back in and will and will land on 'My Account'
  • I have entered my password incorrectly multiple times and now I'm locked out. How Do I unlock my account?
    • Your account will be locked after 5 consecutive unsuccessful login attempts.

      Here are your options to unlock your account:

      • You will receive an Account lockout email. Follow the instructions to unlock your account
      • Wait 60 minutes. After, your account will be unlocked for you to attempt to login again, or,
      • Contact Client Services for assistance at 1-800-268-8583 or 905-214-8203.
  • What is the difference between My Profile and My Access?
      • My Profile allows user to update username, password, language preference or set up additional MFA.
      • My Access allows user to link an account to their Profile or a Dealer Rep code for an advisor.

My Book Help

What tools do I have access to on My Book?

  • Complete online access to your entire book of business with AGF
  • See all your sales and assets with AGF over a selected time period, sorted by fund or asset type
  • View your commissions and service fees earned over a specified time period
  • Check the status of client transactions and query activities
  • See a summary of each client's account, including lists of transactions and detailed reports
  • Generate custom, printer-friendly reports on client lists, registered transfers, group contributions and systematic withdrawal plans
  • View your "My Messages" for a variety of important operational messages regarding your client accounts with AGF

How often is the information updated?

At the client account level, the information is updated daily. For the advisor consolidated reports please refer to the My Book Report Help once you've logged in.

How do I sign up for paperless statements?

Sign in to My Account and you will be prompted to subscribe to electronic delivery for all of your statements, confirmation of activities and/or tax receipts. An email notification will be sent to notify you that they are available online for viewing/downloading. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-888-216-4424.
