Robert Lyon joined AGF in 2008 assuming lead management responsibilities for AGF Canadian Resources Fund, AGF Global Resources Class and AGF Precious Metals Fund.
Robert has nearly 20 years of investment industry experience with close to a decade of direct lead experience managing resource-related mutual funds. Prior to his most recent role as vice-president and director of proprietary trading at TD Newcrest, Robert served as vice-president of portfolio management with two major Canadian mutual fund companies.
In addition to his portfolio management experience, his previous responsibilities include several years in analytical roles researching the oil and gas, base metal and precious metal sectors, and making investment recommendations appropriate for retail and institutional clients.
A CFA charterholder, Robert also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University.
