JOHN ARNOLD Chief Investment Officer Managing Director AGF International Advisors Company Limited John Arnold is one of the most seasoned investment professionals in equity markets with nearly 41 years of experience. In 1993, he joined AGFIA and has been Managing Director since 1994. He has been instrumental in building AGFIA's investment team and research capabilities. As Chief Investment Officer, John has driven the development of AGF's globally recognized equity asset management expertise. He co-manages the award-winning AGF European Equity Class. In 2006, AGF's prominent global fund, AGF Global Value Fund, was awarded to John and his team to advise. He has had a distinguished career. Before joining AGFIA, he worked in the UK for several prestigious international asset management companies. John held the position of UK equity manager, global equity manager and investment director. John received his Diploma of Commerce from Portsmouth Polytechnic.
RORY FLYNN, CFA Global Advisor AGF International Advisors Company Limited Rory Flynn joined AGFIA in 1992. As a principal member, Rory has helped build the team and develop their renowned investment expertise. He began his career with AGFIA as an investment analyst and fund advisor, eventually being promoted to head the research department. Currently, he holds the title of Global Advisor, where he oversees the day-to-day management of all mandates advised by the team. Rory is a world-class fund manager, winning awards as co-lead manager of the AGF European Equity Class and AGF International Stock Class. In 2006, Rory and his team became the advisors of AGF Global Value Fund, one of AGF's most prominent funds. Rory has spent his entire investment career with AGFIA. Before joining the firm, he was an accounting and finance lecturer at the University of Limerick. Rory received his Master of Business Studies from University College Dublin and has a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Cork. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the Society of Investment Analysts in Ireland and the UK Society of Investment Professionals. Rory received his Diploma in Technical Analysis in 2003.
YVONNE BRETT, CFA Head of Research AGF International Advisors Company Limited Yvonne Brett joined AGFIA in 1996. After four years as an analyst, Yvonne was promoted to Head of Research and Portfolio Advisor in 2000, positions she still holds. Yvonne is one of AGFIA's senior members and oversees the research generated by seven analysts to ensure that stock recommendations meet the rigorous investment standards established by the team. She is also responsible for the coverage of the U.S. and European markets. Yvonne is the co-lead manager of AGF Global Value Fund, one of AGF's most prominent funds. Yvonne is able to draw upon her considerable global work experience to provide keen insights when making investment decisions for her funds. Before joining AGFIA, Yvonne had an international career, starting in Dublin with a major Irish financial institution. She then worked in Brussels with the European Commission before moving to New York, where she worked as a risk manager at two international investment banks. Yvonne has a Masters of Business Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin. She is a member of the CFA Institute, the Society of Investment Analysts in Ireland (SIAI) and the UK Society of Investment Professionals. Philosophy: Yvonne uses a disciplined bottom-up value investment style. She selects franchise companies with solid business prospects, high dividends and strong investment fundamentals, selling at a substantial discount to her estimate of intrinsic value.
NIALL DINEEN, CFA Portfolio Advisor AGF International Advisors Company Limited Niall Dineen joined AGF International Advisors Co. Ltd. (AGFIA) in 1999 as an Investment Analyst and is currently a Portfolio Advisor, co-advising on AGF Canadian Value Fund. He was recruited by AGFIA directly from university and has completed AGF's professional development program. Niall has gained on-the-ground expertise by working in AGF's Singapore office and with the investment team in Canada. In the past, he has been responsible for covering a range of sectors across the globe, from the resources sector to the financial sector. Niall has a Masters in Business Studies (Finance) and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the UK Society of Investment Professionals.
RICHARD MCGRATH, CFA Senior Investment Analyst and Portfolio Advisor AGF International Advisors Company Limited With more than 11 years of experience, Richard McGrath has spent his entire financial management career with AGFIA. Richard co-advises on AGF Global Value Fund, one of AGF's most prominent funds. He also advises on the foreign content component of AGF Canadian Value Fund and AGF Canadian Balanced Value Fund. In addition, he manages AGFIA's global and EAFE mandates, which are available on the Separately Managed Account platforms of many leading brokerage houses in Canada. Richard joined AGFIA in 1996 as an investment analyst and quickly progressed to Senior Investment Analyst and Portfolio Advisor. Richard began by covering Asian equities during the Asian crisis, one of the most turbulent periods for the region and has continued to follow those equity markets. He has also covered a range of sectors across the globe, ranging from resources to information technology. Richard received his Masters in Investment and Treasury from Dublin City University in 1999.
