Jean Charbonneau is responsible for the overall management of AGF's award-winning fixed-income team. Committed to a strong collaborative team culture that drives each aspect of portfolio management, Jean specializes in duration management, country mix strategy and emerging market bonds.

Jean joined AGF in 2006. He is the lead Portfolio Manager of AGF Global Government Bond Fund and co-manager of AGF Canadian Bond Fund and the fixed-income component of AGF World Balanced Fund. Jean and his team believe in a macro top-down approach to managing domestic and global fixed-income portfolios.

A seasoned fixed-income manager with more than 25 years of industry experience, Jean has extensive experience managing international fixed-income assets for retail and institutional mandates. Jean has also managed retail bond funds for a leading Canadian investment management firm and international fixed-income assets for one of the largest Canadian public pension funds.

Jean graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from the University of Sherbrooke.
