Jean Charbonneau is responsible for the overall management of AGF's fixed-income team and is committed to a strong collaborative team culture that drives each aspect of portfolio management. Jean and his team believe in a macro top-down approach to managing domestic and global fixed-income portfolios. Jean is Portfolio Manager of AGF Global Government Bond Fund and AGF Global Aggregate Bond Fund, co-manager of AGF Canadian Bond Fund, AGF Emerging Markets Balanced Fund and AGF Emerging Markets Bond Fund and the fixed-income component of AGF World Balanced Fund.

A seasoned fixed-income manager having been in the industry since 1984, Jean has extensive experience managing international fixed-income assets for retail and institutional mandates. Jean has also managed retail bond funds for a leading Canadian investment management firm and international fixed-income assets for one of the largest Canadian public pension funds.

Jean graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from the University of Sherbrooke.
