Patricia Perez-Coutts is the Portfolio Manager for the award-winning AGF Emerging Markets Fund. Patricia's investment approach is focused on finding sound businesses that are mispriced by the market based on economic profits.

Under Patricia's leadership, the AGF Emerging Markets Fund was honoured by the Canadian Investment Awards (Emerging Markets Equity Fund Award) in 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006 and 2005 and was awarded the 2011 Lipper Fund Award for best 10-year returns*. Patricia joined AGF in 2001 as Portfolio Manager of AGF Latin America Fund and in 2002 she assumed responsibility for AGF India Fund and AGF Emerging Markets Value Fund. In 2003 the three Funds were merged into the AGF Emerging Markets Fund.

Patricia began her career in 1986 as an economist for Peru's Institute of Foreign Trade and has held investment positions including Vice-President of research for a Canadian private merchant bank and VP and Portfolio Manager for a major Canadian investment management firm. As such, she has built considerable expertise in Latin America.

Patricia earned an Honours BA in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru and a BA in Mathematics for Commerce at York University. She is a CFA charterholder.

AGF India Fund and AGF Latin America Fund merged into AGF Emerging Markets Value Fund on June 14, 2003. AGF Emerging Markets Value Fund was renamed AGF Emerging Markets Fund on April 18, 2005. Three-year performance as of May 30, 2003 for AGF India Fund was -23.26%, AGF Latin American Fund was -12.82% and AGF Emerging Markets Value Fund was -7.37%. The peer group for 10 years consists of 20 funds within the category. The Lipper Fund Awards recognize funds with at least 36 months of performance history that have excelled in delivering consistently strong risk-adjusted performance, relative to peers.
