As part of the American Growth Fund (AGF) 50th anniversary celebrations, Chairman and CEO Blake Goldring will make a $500,000 charitable donation to WWF-Canada at The Carlu on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 5:30 p.m.
This announcement will be made on the occasion of a special celebration taking place on the actual anniversary date when the American Growth Fund was created in 1957. Co-founders C. Warren Goldring and Allan Manford first launched this fund 50 years ago going on to establish a company that has offered superior innovative products over the decades. Today it remains a proudly independent Canadian company with a global reach.
AGF has a long tradition and well-established history supporting community causes and helping to protect the environment. Its partnership with WWF-Canada goes back to the 1980s when the two organizations joined forces to raise awareness about highly endangered tiger populations. Over the years, both organizations have worked together to help educate the public about ensuring a sustainable environment and about WWF’s efforts to protect all endangered species.
AGF’s donation will be used over the next five years to support WWF-Canada’s Living Planet Achievements Fund helping to make sure Canada’s freshwater, oceans, forests and endangered species continue to thrive in a healthy climate.
